As he walks out the front door he sees one of his favorite trees. It wasn’t very big yet, but he knows that he wants this tree to be around for many years to come. It is already a centerpiece of his garden. 

The problem is it definitely needs a trim. Whatever he does today won’t kill it, but it will affect how it develops. 

He can’t pause forever, but if he wants it to continue being the centerpiece, he needs to give it a day or 2 to make sure he does it right.

The tree isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, but without the proper care it will wither away long before it’s time.
